An arrest has been made in connection with a road rage shooting on Interstate 465 that occurred in mid-July. The Indiana State Police identified 19-year-old Latrail L. Ramsey as the individual arrested on a preliminary charge of aggravated battery, which is recognized as a Level 3 felony, according to Fox59.
Reports claim that the altercation began when trash blew out of the back of a pickup truck, driven by an 18-year-old, who was later hospitalized with a gunshot wound inflicted during the road rage encounter; the incident was initially tipped off by the victim's grey pickup losing pieces of plastic and a box on the interstate as noted by the IndyStar, and the tragic string of events unfolded on I-465 near 10th Street on the west side of Indianapolis.
Digging deeper into the case, police also arrested two other men on unrelated charges during their investigation: Reimos Trimble Jr., 20, for possession of a Glock switch - a device used to convert firearms into automatic weapons - and 20-year-old Gemon Young on an outstanding warrant for another shooting, as detailed by The Bloomingtonian.
As the pursuit of justice for the I-465 shooting lingers, authorities continue their call to the public for help, searching for additional witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on July 21. Those with information are urged to contact the Indiana State Police at 317-899-8577.
