As the week progresses, the NWS predicts continued sunshine and a higher heat index, Thursday's high is predicted to be near 88 degrees before heading into Thursday night when it's expected to remain mostly clear with a low around 66, this pattern of clear skies in the day coupled with mild temps at night is a herald of peak summer conditions that seem to be persisting even as we approach the end of August. The forecast for Friday indicates sunny weather with a high near 92 degrees, with the calm wind turning south around 5 mph in the morning, Friday night's conditions are predicted to be partly cloudy, with temperatures staying at a low around 68 degrees.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the NWS expects the sunny trend to continue, Saturday will bring a high near 94 and light south winds, while the evening is forecasted to remain mostly clear with a low around 70 degrees, and as we roll into Sunday expect the high to jump to near 96 degrees. Sunday night will likely stay mostly clear while the low only drops to around 72 degrees.
The heat is not planning on taking a break as the new week kicks off with Monday's temperatures shooting up to an anticipated high of 99 degrees, in a similar vein the night is expected to be mostly clear with temperatures settling down to a low around 73 degrees, and on Tuesday, Nashville should brace for another sunny and hot day with highs hovering close to 98 degrees.
