Devour Indy is making a splash across Indianapolis, where more than 100 eateries are serving up special menus to lure in diners seeking both novel flavors and old favorites. The biannual event, designed as a shot in the arm for local businesses during typically slow periods, has become a tradition for many in the Circle City.

According to a Fox59 report, St. Elmo Steakhouse, prides itself on being a part of Devour Indy since its inception 21 years ago. "We’ve been involved literally since day one," noted Richard Edwards, the general manager of St. Elmo Steakhouse. The selection of food spans from steaks to cold brews, and to seafood. Meanwhile, the folks over at Taxman Gastropub and Beergarden see it as an excellent opportunity for patrons to expand their culinary horizons without breaking the bank.

The promotion started on August 19 and will run until September 1, offering limited-time offers. The lineup features everything from down-home barbeque to the fine dining experience of white tablecloth venues, as highlighted by the IndyStar. Customers can indulge in tailored two- and three-course meals concocted especially for the event, without the need for coupons or passes.

Hoagies & Hops, nine years running and helmed by Kristina Mazza, is one among the participants offering its own twist for the summer festival. They're bringing to the table a vegan sausage, and for those inclined to forego bread, the pickle hoagie stands out as a crunchy, low carb alternative. "For Devour, (you can get) any seven-inch hoagie as a pickle, or as a salad, or on a roll," Mazza told WISH-TV. Devour Indy, organized by the Indiana Restaurant and Lodging Association, promises to satisfy diverse dietary preferences across Indianapolis, easing the search for those hunting for robust flavors that cater to individual dietary needs or restrictions.

For locals and visitors, a full list of participating restaurants and their Devour Indy menus are available on the event's website.
