
An altercation over a stolen moped in Anderson resulted in the arrest of a 16-year-old, following an incident that left a 21-year-old man with a stab wound. The fight took place on Sunday on the 900 block of W 10th St., near Madison Avenue.
According to WTHR, the Anderson Police Department received a call that directed officers to the emergency room of a local hospital to investigate the stabbing. The victim had checked himself into the ER with what was classified as a non-life-threatening laceration. "Preliminary details indicate that the victim was involved in a dispute with a 16-year-old juvenile over a stolen moped," a spokesperson from the Anderson PD stated.
The authorities were able to locate a crime scene that coincided with the details of the incident. In the subsequent investigation, as mentioned in FOX59's report, detectives from the criminal investigations division identified and apprehended the juvenile in connection to the stabbing.
The case has been transferred to the Madison County Prosecutor's Office, which will decide on final charges.
