Antioch residents are on edge after a shooting left a 20-year-old man critically injured. The Antioch Police Department confirmed that officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Peppertree Way around 9:35 pm on Monday following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered the young male victim with at least one gunshot wound, as reported by the Antioch Police Department.
The incident, now being treated as an attempted homicide, has prompted an in-depth investigation, and while the victim fights for his life at a local hospital, Antioch detectives, alongside Crime Scene Investigators, are piecing together the chain of events that led to the near-fatal shooting.
