The Antioch community has been plunged into dismay following a shooting incident that occurred on Monday evening, tragically resulting in the death of a 20-year-old man. According to the Antioch Police Department, Elijah Scales succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital yesterday, three days after the incident on the 2100 block of Peppertree Way.
The shooting took place at approximately 9:35 PM when officers found the severely wounded victim soon after the gunfire was reported. Residents, alarmed by the late-night violence, are pressing for answers as Antioch detectives, alongside Crime Scene Investigators, tirelessly work to understand the series of events that led to what is now the killing of Elijah Scales.
