An investigation is underway following the death of an inmate at the Tippecanoe County Jail, as confirmed by the Indiana State Police. The incident, which occurred on the afternoon of September 14, began when jail staff were summoned by an inmate to address a medical emergency in a cell. On arrival, the staff discovered the inmate unresponsive. Though medics were called and aid was rendered, the individual was pronounced dead on the scene by the Tippecanoe County Coroner.
