A man was shot and killed on the east side of Indianapolis late Wednesday night, leading to an ongoing investigation by local authorities. According to WISH-TV, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers found the man in a residential area near Emerson and University avenues, after responding to a report of a person shot just after 11 p.m. The location is near Irvington and Thomas Carr Howe High School. IMPD confirmed the man died at the scene of the shooting.
