Tragedy struck on a road just west of Lebanon yesterday afternoon, as a motorcyclist lost his life in a vehicle collision. The Lebanon Police Department reported the incident involving an SUV and a motorcycle near the intersection of State Road 32 and County Road 500 West, occurring around 5 p.m.
Emergency responders arriving on the scene discovered a serious situation; according to FOX59, the adult male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Compounding the tragedy, the SUV carried one adult female and four juveniles, who all sustained minor injuries, that were evaluated before being released at the location of the crash.
The victims' identities have not been disclosed to the public as officials were still in the process of notifying the next of kin. Meanwhile, officials have reopened the intersection to traffic, as reported by WTHR.
