A hit-and-run collision has left a motorcyclist in critical condition earlier yesterday on the west side of Indianapolis. In an incident that marred the city's tranquil night, law enforcement officials were deployed to the 2600 block of Lynhurst Drive following reports of a man struck by a vehicle, as reproted by FOX59.
Upon their arrival just before the 2 a.m., authorities stumbled upon the injured adult male sprawled at the intersection, enduring pain that stemmed not only from his physical injuries but from the harsh exposure to the asphalt. He was subsequently rushed to an area hospital, where he is reportedly recuperating. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) indicated that the man was riding a mini motorcycle during the moment of impact with a white SUV, WIBC reports.
IMPD is seeking witnesses who may have information about a hit-and-run incident involving a white SUV that fled the scene. The vehicle left quickly, raising numerous questions. The department is urging anyone with relevant information to contact IMPD at 317-327-3475. For those who wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers can be reached at 317-262-TIPS.
