According to WKRN, authorities were alerted to a situation at Elm Hill Marina off Bell Road at around 11:50 p.m. where a man had reportedly jumped from a boat and failed to resurface. His body was eventually recovered in the early hours following the incident.
Metro Nashville Police were involved in the response to the distress call, having dispatched search and rescue teams after the man did not come back up from the water, per FOX 17. Boating near Elm Hill Island, the group that the victim was part of had reached out to the police explaining the situation shortly before midnight.
