
Early morning activity at a Richmond apartment complex led to a significant drug bust and multiple arrests this Thursday, according to local authorities. At approximately 8 a.m., Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies, in collaboration with Indiana State Police troopers, executed a search warrant at Redwood Terrace Apartments, as reported by WISH-TV. The raid, which targeted an apartment on the 1800 block of South 13th Street, culminated in the apprehension of seven individuals, three of whom are now facing serious drug charges.
Law enforcement officials have confirmed that the operation resulted in the seizure of numerous substances, including suspected fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, and crack cocaine. According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the search was prompted after it was determined drugs were likely to be stored in the apartment. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was to quickly take action, deploying their resources early in the day to effectively disrupt this illegal drug operation.
Among those arrested, "Chance Jordan Duarte, Angel Morgan and Richard Vincent were all preliminarily charged with dealing cocaine or narcotic drugs (level 2 felony), dealing methamphetamine (level 2 felony) and maintaining a common nuisance (level 6 felony)" FOX59 reported on the charges filed against these three individuals. These charges reflect not only the possession but also the intention to distribute these heavy substances, which adds to the severity of the case.
