The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public’s assistance in the ongoing search for a missing elderly man from Hayward. Jeffery Johnston, 68, was last seen at his residence at an independent living facility on Standish Avenue in Hayward. His absence was noted on September 14, and the search has been active.
Described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall and 183 pounds, with blue eyes and grey hair, he wore a tan coat, blue thermal undershirt, a white t-shirt, and brown pants at his disappearance.
Johnston is no stranger to the Cherryland area, and locals who frequent the district are encouraged to watch for him. The sheriff's office has expressed concern for Johnston's safety and is appealing to anyone with information that could aid in his safe return.
