Voting just got a bit more convenient in Hamilton County with the expansion of early voting to additional locations this week. Starting Wednesday, Carmel, Fishers, and Westfield will join Noblesville in offering residents more places to cast their ballots ahead of the upcoming election. According to an announcement on the Hamilton County website, voters have the flexibility to vote at any of the early voting sites, regardless of where they live in the county. "The beautiful thing about early voting is you can vote anywhere and whenever is most convenient for you,” Elections Administrator Beth Sheller told the county's official website.

The latest community resource to emerge from this voting initiative is an interactive map, which simplifies the process of locating the nearest early voting spots. A collaborative effort between the Election Office and the Hamilton Country GIS team, the map details the dates and operating hours of each early voting location. “Working together across departments to create this tool has been incredibly rewarding,” Chris Mertens, Hamilton County’s Director of Information Technology, expressed in a statement on the Hamilton County website. He emphasized the department's aim “Our goal is to make voting easier and more accessible for all residents. It’s exciting to see technology being used in a way that benefits our community.”

Nine locations will be available for early voting across the county, with each of the cities of Noblesville, Fishers, and Westfield housing two locations and Carmel featuring three. Voters interested in finding their most convenient voting location can access the interactive map by visiting the Hamilton County GeoHub.
