The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has successfully located Kimberly Dawkins, a 25-year-old Indiana woman who was reported missing after last being sighted in Castleton over the weekend. Dawkins, identified by the IMPD as having brown hair and brown eyes, standing at 5'4", and weighing approximately 160 pounds, was last observed on Saturday in the 5400 block of Autumn Woods Lane. As reported by FOX59, she was wearing a pink hoodie when she vanished and may have been in need of medical attention.
Last year, the policies for Silver Alerts, which are issued when adults or children are reported missing and in danger, were changed. The criteria were expanded to include missing children, according to a statement from WTHR.
Police requested public assistance in locating Dawkins, raising concern for her safety. The IMPD confirmed that Dawkins was found safe, but details of her disappearance and discovery remain undisclosed. No further information has been released, as per WRTV.
