
A stabbing incident took place at North Clairemont Park, as per the San Diego Police Department Watch Commander's Log. The report, which was published on the official website of the City of San Diego, indicates that a 40-year-old transient male suspect allegedly attacked two individuals this morning.
According to the police log, the suspect approached a 28-year-old male victim (V1) and a 27-year-old female (V2) while they hung out at the park located at 4421 Bannock Avenue. After engaging the victims in Spanish, the suspect purportedly stabbed V1 in the thigh with a pocket knife. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was later treated at a local hospital. The suspect also swung the weapon at V2, who managed to escape without physical harm.
The SDPD log does confirm that the assailant fled the scene before law enforcement arrived and has not yet been apprehended. The matter has been escalated to the Northern Division detectives, who spearhead the investigation. Authorities are now seeking any information that may lead to resolving this violent encounter.
