A collision on the northwest side of Indianapolis claimed the life of one individual and resulted in hospital transport for two drivers and a child yesterday afternoon. FOX59 reported that the incident occurred at the intersection of West 51st Street and North Michigan Road around 12:35 p.m., as confirmed by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

The preliminary investigation indicated that a vehicle attempting to make a westbound turn from the northbound lane was struck by another car traveling southbound, according to WRTV. This encounter resulted in serious consequences, with one passenger losing their life at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles were said to be awake and breathing following the crash and were swiftly taken to an area hospital.

In addition to the drivers, WISH-TV reports that a juvenile passenger was also hospitalized and was reported to be in stable condition. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s crash investigators are still examining the intricacies of the incident to determine all the contributing factors.
