A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on SR-185 (Mission Boulevard) last night, just before 10 PM, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Hayward division. The accident happened in the northbound lanes near East Lewelling Boulevard.
Emergency responders found the pedestrian deceased at the scene. CHP confirmed that the vehicle's driver remained on-site and cooperated with the investigation. The pedestrian's identity has not been released, and notification from family members is pending. CHP is urging witnesses to come forward and share any information by calling (510) 489-1500.
