Authorities are looking for information that could lead to the capture and conviction of the perpetrators involved in the shooting death of Erick Portillo.
The fatal incident occurred on the evening of August 1, 2023, when police were alerted to gunshots and a subsequent discovery of an injured individual on the ground. Occurring near the 900 block of Tennyson Rd in Hayward, the officers who responded to the call found the victim, who had sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Hayward Police Department has released video footage capturing two subjects believed to be linked to the murder of Erick Portillo.
