Attention, Indianapolis lottery players: A GetGo gas station in Indianapolis is in the lottery spotlight again, as the Hoosier Lottery confirmed that a Powerball Double Play ticket worth $50,000 was purchased there, located at 8045 S. Meridian St.
As detailed by FOX59, last Saturday's winning ticket matched four out of five numbers plus the Powerball, a significant achievement in Indiana's lottery history. The numbers were 4, 20, 37, 48, and 58, with a Powerball of 24. The odds of matching these numbers are 1 in 913,129.
The Hoosier Lottery has reminded all lottery ticket holders to secure their tickets and consider seeking financial advice, this message was included in a statement to WTHR.
Meanwhile, a Greenwood liquor store is facing the possibility that a 'winning' ticket may expire without being claimed. The ticket, sold at Superior Discount Liquors for the Powerball drawing on May 6, is approaching its expiration date. “The winner must bring the ticket to the Hoosier Lottery office at 1302 N. Meridian St. in downtown Indianapolis by 4:30 p.m. Monday,” reported WISH-TV. The clock is counting down for the ticket with winning numbers 7-23-24-56-60 and Powerball 25.
The state has had 39 jackpot winners since the start of Powerball. The next Powerball jackpot is estimated at $63 million.
