Earlier today, an incident left a man critically injured on the near northwest side of Indianapolis. As reported by WTHR, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) received a call around 8:15 a.m. and subsequently located a victim suffering from gunshot wounds in the 600 block of West 30th Street, near Dr. M.L.K. Jr. Street.
The department has yet to provide details on what might have led to the shooting. The victim was promptly taken to Methodist Hospital and is reported to be in critical condition, a detail confirmed by an IMPD spokesperson. The authorities have not released additional information regarding the circumstances that surrounded this event.
In corroboration, WRTV disclosed that officers were dispatched to the reported location shortly after the incident at approximately 8:20 a.m. Upon their arrival, officers found the male with gunshot injuries, whose identity has not been disclosed, before his hospitalization.
