
Early Thursday morning, a violent altercation disrupted the calm of Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood, leading to a man being stabbed in the leg. CBS News Chicago reports that a 35-year-old man was involved in a conflict with multiple people on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of West Howard Street, near the Howard Red Line terminal.
The incident, which unfolded just after 2 a.m., escalated when one member of the group produced a knife and inflicted injury upon a man's left leg. According to Fox 32 Chicago, the victim was subsequently transported to Ascension St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and is listed in fair condition.
Chicago police began their investigation into the stabbing, though as of this writing, no arrests have been made. The case has fallen under the jurisdiction of Area Three detectives who are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the suspect or suspects involved in this violent incident.
