A house fire in Noblesville earlier today has resulted in the displacement of a local family, as reported by multiple sources. Firefighters were called to the scene in the 5000 block of Montview Way around 7:15 a.m., where they worked to extinguish a blaze that had started in the garage of the residence.
Upon their arrival, two adults who lived in the house—identified as an adult male and female—were able to evacuate on their own. The male resident sustained injuries but declined transportation to the hospital, as noted in WRTV's coverage of the incident. The female occupant was reported unharmed. The extent of the fire damage has forced the family to find alternative living arrangements.
The Noblesville Fire Department's social media post indicated that a column of smoke was visible as emergency services arrived at the scene. The initial fire crews were able to quickly control and eventually mark out the fire. They were supported in their efforts by personnel from the Westfield Fire Department and Carmel Fire Department.
While the origins of the fire are still under investigation, authorities have yet to determine the exact causes. "Fire investigators are still on scene and the cause of the fire has not been released at this time," reported the Noblesville Fire Department in their communication.
