It was then that his motorcycle struck a westbound Ford F-350 head-on. The collision was severe, and despite efforts, Tranhaile did not survive and was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Ford F-350, identified as 39-year-old Brian Daniel Bohrer of Bend, reportedly did not sustain injuries from the crash, as per the Oregon State Police.
