
Transit police were called to the Readville Commuter Rail Parking Lot this past Monday evening after receiving reports of vandalism. According to a post from the Transit PD's official account, the episode occurred around 6:30 pm when a juvenile was alleged to have taken a brick and smashed the windshield of a parked car, causing sufficient damage to warrant the vehicle's removal by tow.

The MBTA Transit Police are now in the midst of a follow-up investigation to both identify the suspect and ascertain the precise circumstances surrounding the incident. They've stated they plan to "conduct follow up investigation." Addressing the incident, Transit Police indicated that "When SP identified criminal charges to be sought", signaling their intent to pursue legal action against the responsible party once they've been apprehended and positively identified in connection with the damage.
Details about the juvenile suspect or the motive behind the act have not yet been publicly disclosed. The authorities have, however, made it clear that the incident was serious enough to disrupt the routine tranquility of the commuter lot and inconvenience the vehicle's owner with property damage and the subsequent logistical hassle.
