Two male juveniles, ages 15 and 12, were apprehended on charges related to a vehicular hijacking that occurred earlier this week, as per reports from the Chicago Police Department.
The arrest unfolded on Tuesday, at 7:35 p.m., when the pair was detained in the 8600 block of S. Manistee Ave. They were pinpointed as suspects in a carjacking incident involving a 50-year-old female victim at the 8300 block of S. Kingston Ave. in Chicago's 4th District, just two hours prior.
According to details shared by the Chicago Police, arrested were the juveniles on charges including aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon. Specifically, the 15-year-old faces one felony count of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm and one felony count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on a vehicle. Caught accompanying him in the possession of burglary tools, was the 12-year-old charged with one felony count of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm and one felony count of burglary.
