A 61-year-old bicyclist has been seriously injured after being struck by an SUV in Richmond, Indiana, on Sunday. The collision occurred at approximately 5:57 p.m. in the 300 block of National Road West. The Richmond Police Department explained that the victim was attempting to cross the road when the incident happened, as per FOX59 reports.
The SUV involved was driven by an 80-year-old man who remained at the scene, cooperating with the ensuing investigation. At this point in time, no arrests have been made in connection to the collision. The bicyclist, whose identity has not been released, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, as mentioned by WHIO.
