A 15-year-old student in Walton, Indiana was taken into custody after a school resource officer discovered the individual with multiple weapons and making threats at Lewis Cass Schools. According to FOX59, the Cass County Sheriff's Office initiated an investigation yesterday, which led to the apprehension of the student before any lockdown procedures could be enacted.
The arrest occurred without incident, and although the deputies recovered weapons, they confirmed that none were firearms. Cass County authorities, after obtaining and executing a search warrant at the student's residence, found a list allegedly containing potential targets, "According to a press release from the Sheriff's Department," as reported by WISH-TV. The youth's identity has not been disclosed due to age, and they are currently being held at the Allen County Juvenile Detention Center pending court proceedings.
