Three children and one adult suffered injuries in a vehicle collision near Guaranteed Rate Field on Chicago's South Side. The Chicago Fire Department responded to the accident, which occurred Sunday afternoon in the 300 block of West 35th Street, reported the Chicago Sun-Times. All victims were promptly taken to local hospitals, where their conditions were stabilized.
Specifically, three children were transported to Comer Children’s Hospital. As fire officials stated, they were all listed in good condition. The crash happened near Guaranteed Rate Field, where a blue vehicle was seen overturning at the scene, according to video obtained by ABC 7 Chicago. One adult, also involved in the mishap, was taken to Insight Hospital and was in good condition.
The circumstances leading up to the crash are still under investigation, and the exact cause has not been disclosed. While the adult's affiliation to the children has not been specified, it is confirmed that the children were in a different vehicle than the man taken to the hospital in fair condition, elaborated the Chicago Fire Department. Adults in the car with the children were not injured, added the officials.
