An individual has been critically injured following a shooting on Indianapolis's near northeast side yesterday, according to multiple local news reports. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a call at around 3 p.m. at the 3400 block of North Keystone Avenue, WTHR reported.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim who had sustained gunshot wounds and was subsequently rushed to the hospital in a state of critical condition. IMPD has yet to definitively confirm the current medical status of the victim, who’s been left to fight bravely, balancing delicately between life and death's final threshold. According to a statement obtained by FOX59, no further details about the victim’s condition have been disclosed post-incident.
The shooting occurred near or at a local gas station, as per reports from WRTV. However, the IMPD has not released additional information surrounding the circumstances of the shooting or the identity of the victim. As this is an active investigation, details are limited, and the law enforcement continues to seek out witnesses and leads that could shed light on the event.
