According to the sheriff's office, the collision happened at approximately 6:11 p.m. last Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the intersection of County Road 400 East and the 6400 block of East Jackson Street, as reported by FOX59.
A woman who was attempting to cross the street was tragically struck by a westbound vehicle and later pronounced dead, a detail confirmed by multiple sources, including WRTV. The name of the victim has not been disclosed by authorities as the investigation continues. The vehicle of interest, believed to have been involved in this incident remains at large – a 2007-2014 Chevrolet Silverado, which is expected to have damage to the passenger side, potentially including the side-view mirror and headlight.
