Early Sunday morning, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on the Edens Expressway near Lincolnwood, leading to a complete closure of the northbound lanes. The incident occurred just before 6:30 a.m. at the I-94 Touhy Avenue intersection, as reported by NBC Chicago. Illinois State Police were quick to respond to the scene following the incident.
Upon arrival, they discovered that the pedestrian had already succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The northbound side of the highway was subsequently closed, with traffic being diverted onto Peterson Street.
