
Early morning gunfire on Noel Avenue in Newark resulted in a 22-year-old man being wounded and damage to nearby vehicles, as reported by local law enforcement. Newark Police Department responded to the scene after receiving reports of gunshots at around 4:50 a.m. yesterday, according to an official statement released by the Newark Police.
The victim, suffering from a single gunshot wound, was quickly attended to by officers and subsequently transported to the hospital by Alameda County Fire personnel, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. This incident, fortunately, did not yield any other injuries. In the meantime, investigators from Newark Police are piecing together the details of the shootout, which remains an active case. Given its complex nature, law enforcement has refrained from releasing additional information.
