In the city of Milpitas, vigilance by the local police unearthed an illegal hoard in an otherwise routine check. According to the Milpitas Police Department social media update, an officer patrolling along E. Calaveras Blvd. engaged a parked motorist about a vehicle code violation, who, upon their record showing a history of weapons violations, consented to a probation search.
The investigation quickly took a serious turn when officers found replica firearms, knives, and drug paraphernalia with the driver, whose criminal history added weight to the discovery. Determined to investigate further, they searched the driver’s nearby residence.
Inside, they uncovered a stolen handgun, ammunition, and narcotics among the resident’s belongings, escalating the situation significantly.
