Nashville firefighters faced a harrowing situation this afternoon as they battled a house fire in the pastoral stretch of Pegram, Davidson County. WKRN reported that the blaze, believed to have started in the basement, tragically resulted in the disappearance of two dogs.
Responding to the emergency, multiple crews from the Nashville Fire Department were dispatched to the 4000 block of Manning Hollow Road. "There was one person inside when the fire started and managed to exit the house safely, but there are two dogs that have not been located," read a statement from the Nashville FD, obtained by WSMV.
The incident, unfolding in a community not unaccustomed to the occasional strokes of misfortune, now marks a double loss for the homeowner. With no additional information immediately released, neighbors and residents are left to hope for the safe return of the missing dogs, their fates hanging in a balance blurred by smoke and uncertainty.
