According to police, they located Brantley and Andrews in the vicinity of the 0-100 block of W. 87th St. shortly after the hijacking report came from the 800 block of W. Blackhawk.

Upon their apprehension less than an hour after the event, the authorities were able to quickly establish Brantley and Andrews as the suspects. After being placed into custody, the two were "subsequently charged accordingly," as per the Chicago Police Department’s report. No further details have been released concerning the circumstances of the hijacking or the subsequent capture of the suspects.
