After a grueling but picturesque odyssey of crossing the United States on horseback, Utah's own Jake Harvath trotted back into his hometown, concluding a 14-month and 10-day expedition designed to spotlight the plight of wild horses and promote adoption programs. The trek, aptly named 'Year of The Mustang,' clocked in at an impressive 6,000 miles, with Harvath traversing varied terrains from the snow-drenched paths to the urban sprawl of New York City, as reported by FOX13.

The journey wasn't just a solo affair, Harvath shared the path with his horses Bella, Eddy, and Denver, alternating rides to showcase their resilience and prove that wild horses can still be more than just icons of a bygone era, they're viable partners, even in a world where cars reign supreme, "I think they really did show the entire world that wild horses still got a place, at least for horsemen and that really could be incredible partners," Harvath said, as obtained by KSLTV.

Emotions ran high upon Harvath's return, with his mother, initially skeptical about the feasibility of the massive undertaking, capturing the moment through her tears, there in Heber City documenting the end of the remarkable journey. Now back at the ranch, Harvath isn't ready to dismount from his mission just yet, he plans to continue producing videos to spread awareness about wild horses and western heritage, echoing his dedication to the cause, "I am going to keep on making videos to keep on spreading the word about wild horses and the West and everything I can to keep it going," he said, as per KSL.
