The Grant County Sheriff's Office recently announced the arrest of two women involved in a significant drug trafficking bust. Joscelyn Bounds, 33, and Alexandra Kindschi, 37, were arrested last Saturday, after an investigation by the JEAN Team Drug Task Force.

According to Grant County Sheriff's Office official Facebook page, Bounds and Kindschi were stopped on St. Rd. 18 and 600 East during routine trips between Dayton, OH, and Grant County. A K9 unit led to a search of their vehicle, where the presence of illegal substances was confirmed. Kindschi, who was driving, had a DWS-Prior status.

During processing, Bounds revealed a plastic bag containing approximately 49 grams of fentanyl. This amount of fentanyl could have prevented numerous potential overdoses. Kindschi has a criminal record, including charges for methamphetamine dealing and previous misdemeanors. She now faces charges of possession with intent to deliver and obstruction of justice. Bounds faces charges of possession and conspiracy to deal narcotic drugs.

Both women are being held in the county jail, awaiting legal proceedings, with the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. The Grant County Sheriff's Office encourages the public to report any information about drug trafficking to the JEAN Team Drug Task Force.
