Deion Guise, a junior at Indiana University Indianapolis and a graduate of Bellmont High School, has joined the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus as an intern. His role involves tracking bills, assisting with constituent services, and conducting policy research, as announced by State Sen. Travis Holdman (R-Markle).
According to the Indiana Senate Republicans release, Guise is from Adams County and has transitioned from local success to a role in the state government. "Interns are extremely helpful to legislators during a busy session," Holdman said, expressing his anticipation for working with Guise during the legislative session. Guise, the son of Nathan and Danielle York, represents Decatur as he navigates the legislative process.
Holdman expressed his enthusiasm for Guise’s assistance, stating, "It is such a pleasure having Adams County native Deion as my intern this session. I am looking forward to getting to know him better as we work together over the next few months. I appreciate him being a great representative of our local community here at the Statehouse," in the same release.
Guise views his internship as an important educational experience, saying, "I am really looking forward to this unique learning experience working with my state government," as reported by the Indiana Senate Republicans. Guise will continue his internship until the legislative session ends on April 28.
