An Indianapolis man faces multiple charges after police seized a considerable stash of drugs, firearms, and cash from his northwest Indianapolis home. In a search that likely took an arsenal off the streets and a sizable amount of drugs, 33-year-old Matthew Dillon was arrested after law enforcement found almost 50 pounds of marijuana, over 400 THC vape cartridges, 14 guns, and more than $46,000 in currency among his possessions.
Details from FOX59 indicate that Dillon is now facing a level 5 felony charge for dealing in marijuana, possession with intent of more than 10 pounds, a level 6 felony for maintaining a common nuisance – controlled substances, and another level 6 felony for neglect of dependent.
According to WTHR, Dillon's bond has been set at $20,000 surety. The report details the bond amount which is but a slice of the money law enforcement found during the raid, presenting a contrasting image of the accrual and the potential forfeiture of ill-gotten gains.
The arrest speaks to the ongoing issues surrounding controlled substances and gun violence in Indianapolis communities. If the allegations hold true, Dillon's home was less a residence and more a depot for criminal enterprise.
