In a concise update shared on the IMPD News Facebook page, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department announced that 6-year-old Catalina Lubin has been located and is safe. The IMPD previously issued an appeal for public assistance in the search for the missing child, emphasizing the urgency of the community's participation.
The original notice detailed Catalina's last known appearance, as she was seen boarding a school bus yesterday but never disembarked at her scheduled stop. Described as possessing black hair and brown eyes, standing 3 feet tall, and weighing 40 pounds, Catalina was last seen wearing a pink puffy jacket—the details distributed in the hope of gaining leads from the public. In the event of her location, the department urged to call 911 immediately.
The IMPD thanked everyone who helped in the search for Catalina, though they didn’t give details about how she was found. Contact information for the IMPD Missing Persons Unit and Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana was shared, with a possible cash reward for tips leading to a felony arrest.
