
An 18-year-old male is in serious condition after being shot while riding in a car in Anderson last night. The Anderson Police Department responded to the incident after a 911 call at 8:20 p.m. reported by a friend who was driving the victim to the hospital. The shooting occurred on the 1600 block of E. 38th Street, noted WRTV.
Upon receiving the call, officers proceeded to the hospital to meet the victim, while others investigated the original crime scene on E. 38th Street. According to initial findings, the victim's car was traveling westbound when an assailant, driving parallel, sprayed the victim's car with bullets. FOX59 reported that the victim was sitting in the front passenger seat when the gunfire erupted.
The victim was later transferred to a hospital in Indianapolis, where they are currently listed in "serious" condition, as mentioned on FOX59. As this violent act shakes the community, the motive behind the shooting remains a mystery.
The Anderson Police Department continues to search for information and urges anyone with insights to come forward. "Anyone with information about the shooting or who may have witnessed the incident call Det.
