The City of Hollywood's African American Advisory Council invites the community to celebrate Black History Month on Thursday at the Washington Park Community Center, located at 5199 Pembroke Road.
According to the City of Hollywood, the event will begin at 7 p.m. and will focus on this year's theme, highlighting the impact of African Americans in the workforce throughout history.
The event is free and open to all, aiming to educate and celebrate Black achievements while shedding light on the stories of Black workers and their contributions to labor and industry. This year’s theme, African Americans and Labor, emphasizes the role of Black workers in shaping the nation’s economy.
