Black, a 24-year-old man, was discovered on Monday evening with life-threatening injuries according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The report states that he had sustained a stab wound to his abdomen and a graze wound on his face from a bullet.
Law enforcement responded to a call about a person with a gun at around 6:40 p.m., which led them to an unlocked residence in the 800 block of North Christiana Avenue. Inside, they found Black, who incidentally resided on the same block. After being taken to Humboldt Park Health, he was pronounced dead at 7:43 p.m., as confirmed by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. So far, no one is in custody concerning the homicide, and Area Four detectives are in charge of the ongoing investigation according to FOX 32 Chicago.
