North Miami is set to unveil the new Breezeswept Park Tot-Lot on Saturday at 10 a.m. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Councilwoman Mary Estimé-Irvin from District 3, marks the completion of the park’s renovations. The new tot-lot, located at 12501 NE 2nd Avenue, cost $1.1 million and aims to provide more recreational options for local families, according to the North Miami Florida Government release.

Construction of the tot-lot began in June 2024 and includes a new playground, a sprayground for water play, a pavilion, restroom facilities, and a perimeter fence for safety. M&J Consulting Group Corp. led the project, with subcontractors Rep Services and Vortex, and consulting by Alleguez Architecture.

Councilwoman Estimé-Irvin emphasized the thoughtful design of the tot-lot, noting, "The new Breezeswept Park Tot-Lot was thoughtfully designed to create a dynamic and inviting space where children can explore, play, and stay active," in the same release.

The opening event on Saturday will feature face painting, games, music, and light refreshments. Families with young children are encouraged to attend and enjoy the new amenities. For more information, contact the Office of Mayor and Council at (305) 895-9818.
