Harris, a native of Spencer, Indiana, has not only walked the halls of his local high school but also crossed the graduation stage at Indiana University, where he earned degrees in English and criminal justice.
Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) has welcomed the local talent, noting that "Interns are extremely helpful to the daily operations of the Senate, especially during a busy legislative session." Bray continued, emphasizing his enthusiasm for the community connection, "I am always glad to have interns from our local community coming to the Statehouse to gain professional experience and am excited to have Colin interning with us this year," he said, telling Indiana Senate Republicans.
