
A juvenile suspect led Speedway police on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle last Sunday. The chase began at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of North Lynhurst Drive and ended in the 7400 block of River Walk Drive. After abandoning the vehicle, the suspect attempted to evade capture by wading into a large pond but was apprehended by officers, as reported by WISH-TV
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was called in to assist Speedway Police Department with the incident. The juvenile suspect was then tracked down by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers in the 7700 block of Eagle Valley Pass, where they managed to apprehend the individual without further incident. According to WTHR, the events unfolded when the juvenile suspect tried to quickly enter nearby water in an attempt to avoid capture.
A juvenile was arrested after a stolen vehicle pursuit by Speedway Police Department and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. No injuries occurred, and the vehicle did not enter water.
