However, that's exactly what happened for the deputies of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office in Indiana when they were invited by Legacy Christian School in Noblesville for a sweet community outreach event. In a social media post, the Sheriff's Office shared footage of their officers mingling with the students over scoops of ice cream.
It appears that the event served dual purposes, not only to give the kids a fun-filled break but also to celebrate a very special occasion for one of their own—Sgt. Rumer's birthday. While enjoying their treats, the students concluded the event, inviting the officers to a rendition of "Happy Birthday". In the video, the deputies can be seen, wearing a smile that seemed just as bright as the kids.
