The Hamilton County Health Department is embarking on a mission to shore up the community's knowledge on children's health by hosting a series of free webinars this year. Tackling topics such as teenage vaping, CPR for kids, internet safety, and immunizations, the webinars will be led by field experts. Parents and caregivers can expect to receive a bevy of insights and practical advice as they dial in from the comforts of home.

In an effort designed to address common concerns head on, the schedule kicks off next Wednesday, with a crucial discussion: "How to Tell If Your Teen is Vaping." As vaping entices a growing number of adolescents, this session promises to arm the givers of care with necessary intervention strategies. In addition to the initial webinar, subsequent sessions set for June are focussed on the literal life-saving techniques of CPR on June 4, and safeguarding kids in the virtual world on June 18. By the time the summer wraps up, the series will round out with an "Back to School Immunizations" primer on August 20, just as pencils are sharpened and backpacks are shouldered with the onset of a new school year.

"Our goal is to empower parents and caregivers with the knowledge they need to ensure the well-being of our children," Jason LeMaster, Administrator of the Hamilton County Health Department, told local announcement portal by Hamilton County. He emphasized the importance of the webinars as a means to foster meaningful dialogue and community health education. Complementing his sentiments, Health Education Outreach Coordinator, Jim Ginder, highlighted the anticipated benefits to the community. Ginder adds, "We believe that informed parents and caregivers contribute significantly to the overall health of our community."

The webinar series is not only an educational crusade but also represents a communal bridge to span the gap often found between expert knowledge and everyday practice. Residents wishing to tune in to the webinars can do so by simply logging on during the scheduled times. No registration costs mean that all guardians of health can connect, from those struggling to decipher the cues of teen behavior to parents wishing to brush up on lifesaving manual skills or better navigate the online world that their children inhabit.
