Miami-Dade Man Charged in Armed Home Invasion of TikTok-Famous JewelerSource: Miami Dade Corrections & Rehabilitation

A Miami-Dade man, Wilfredo Antuna, has been arrested in connection to an armed home invasion involving a local jeweler known for his prominence on TikTok. According to an arrest report cited by WSVN, the incident occurred on March 13, when York Valdez was ambushed and held at gunpoint along with his family in their home near Southwest 284th Street. Antuna, 35, was taken into custody, charged with multiple felonies, including armed home invasion, kidnapping, and robbery.

Police were able to firmly establish a connection between Antuna and the crime after Valdez, the owner of York Jewelers and a popular figure on TikTok under the moniker York the Jeweler, was targeted. During the invasion, armed subjects allegedly retained Valdez and his family for hours, demanding access to valuables and making direct references to his public persona. "We know who you are," they were reported to have said. The arrest followed the discovery of Antuna in Miami, found wearing the jeweler's Cuban link chain. In a statement obtained by Local 10 News, Valdez had previously speculated that someone among his over 120,000 followers may have been culpable for the invasion.

The suspects left with high-end jewelry, designer clothing, and the family's Cadillac. The investigation led authorities to Antuna, who was apprehended wearing items identifiable as stolen from Valdez, including a white gold Cuban link chain and a Gucci shirt. According to Local 10 News, Valdez was able to identify Antuna out of an eight-person lineup, further solidifying the arrest.

While one suspect is now in custody, the search continues for the additional perpetrators and the stolen vehicle. Antuna is currently being held at Turner Guilford Knight Detention Center as the investigation proceeds. The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the case, with law enforcement emphasizing their commitment to bring all involved to justice.
